Ethephon, organic compound, pure white needle crystal, industrial product is light brown liquid, soluble in water, methanol, acetone, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, slightly soluble in toluene, insoluble in petroleum ether. Used as a stimulant for agricultural plant growth.
