Although the fans of God of War are discussing Tyre's height, his addition to "The Twilight of God of War" will have a serious impact on the series.

Since the release of the new trailer for "God of War: Ragnarok", fans have conducted a theoretical analysis of the roles of the three characters that debuted in the series: Tyr, Thor and Angrboda. Thor and Tyr's appearance caused some sensation on the Internet, and Angrboda received mostly positive reviews despite some ignorant comments about her race. Whether it is physically or in terms of narrative importance, Thiel is expected to play a huge role in the next game.

Although Tyre’s most obvious feature in the trailer is his huge height, towering above Spartak Kratos, he is also one of the only characters who can answer the players’ many unsolved questions in the 2018 God of War. . In fact, Tyre's appearance provided more clues for the next game than some fans expected, and his addition in the next game proved the theory about his importance to the overall narrative is correct. Since Tyre is the only character known to shuttle between different gods, apart from Kratos, he may hold the key to the next direction of the series.

Based on mythological knowledge and the legend established in "God of War", in addition to height, Tyre's appearance is surprising in several aspects. The most important of these is that he has two hands. In mythology, Tyr's hand was lost by the giant wolf Fenrir (he was also Loki's son). This story is told in "God of War", although all the depictions of Tyr that Kratos encounters have two-handed gods. Although Loki is just a little boy as Atreus, the story about Fenrir makes fans wonder whether the next game will be time traveled in some way.

There is a possible mythological explanation for Tyre's two obvious hands. Since we know that Tyre can travel to different fields and cultures, it is worth noting that there is also a one-armed god, Nuadha, in Irish mythology. However, the god later installed a silver substitute, and his lost arm was completely regrown by the healing god Dian Cecht.

Because the connection between the Celts and Norse mythology is so close, it is not impossible for Tyre's arm to be regrown by another god in many areas he traveled. If so, then the incident with Fenrir may have occurred, and in this version of the incident, Fenrir has nothing to do with Loki at all. However, the perspective of time travel is still in play until Tyr can shed light on the situation.

Related to the time travel theory is that Kratos may actually be Tyr's idea, only at an earlier point in time. Even without this, the first meeting and relationship between Tyr and Kratos will definitely become an important part of the Twilight of the Gods of War. In the simplest sense, this series is called God of War. Tyr is the God of War in Northern Europe. Considering the history of Kratos and Ares, then Tyr’s journey against Kratos in the next game and Fate is of the utmost importance.

A vase found in Tyre’s room depicts a Spartan angry Kratos, so this means that Tyre is familiar with the Greek gods and perhaps the history of Kratos. Mimir commented that he heard that the Greeks should be angered by Kratos, but Tyr, as the most sociable god, may have established connections with certain Greek gods. Tyr's knowledge of Kratos' past will set the tone for their interaction.

However, since Kratos's way to Midgard is still unknown, Tyr can answer this question, possibly even the one who transported Kratos. Tyr's connection with giants and the relationship between Kratos and Faye must also be important plot points in "The Twilight of the Gods of War". Therefore, Thiel can grasp the answers to many of the questions raised in the previous game and clarify the future direction of the series.

The news that the Twilight of the Gods of War will be the end of the Nordic legends in these games surprised most fans looking forward to the Nordic game trilogy. However, the developers seem to be convinced of this move and have longer plans for the series. Similarly, the only characters in the series that shuttle between myths are Kratos and Tyre, and Tyre is the only character who has visited multiple areas. This really opens up a large number of worlds that Kratos, Atreus, or new characters can explore in future games, as well as a wealth of story inspiration materials.

The God of War ended with a mural, suggesting that Kratos might die soon, which is also in line with the larger trend of video game fathers eventually passing the cloak to their children. However, the Spartan was an immortal god who had previously survived the seemingly fatal wounds of Zeus himself. Although this game may be the end of Kratos, it is equally possible that he will go to a new field with the help of Tyre for the next game. On the theme, "Rainbow" will have a lot of decisions about Kratos's narrative arc, and whether the Spartans should retire, die, or continue fighting. Even if Kratos’s end comes, Atreus/Loki may become the next protagonist.

Regardless of which penetration of the current character will survive the next game, it is clear that this is the end of the Nordic legend. Unless the series jumps to a completely new character (which is unlikely), the key to transporting this series to another world is Tyre. From his room in "God of War" and his appearance in the trailer, it can be seen that Tyr has gone to ancient Egypt, ancient Greece and other unknown areas. Therefore, no matter where the series goes in the future, Tyre is the central figure.

"Twilight of the Gods" will be released in 2022, landing on PS5 and PS4.
