APPLICATION:
Used for the manufacture of vitamins, sulfonamides, pesticides and plastics. In addition to being used as a raw material for medicines and various pyridine compounds, it is used as an alkaline solvent in the chemical industry and laboratories. It is also an excellent solvent for deacidification and acylation because pyridine can bind to acylating agents to form n-acylpyridine complexes. Pyridine solution consisting of pyridine and metal salts or organo-metallic compounds, in the form of complexes, is used as a catalyst for polymerization, oxidation, carbonylation of acrylonitrile, etc. Also can be used as silicon rubber stabilizer, anion exchange membrane raw material. As a corrosion inhibitor, pyridine has a corrosion inhibition effect on the metal, which can be directly added to the acid wash solution and achieved by its adsorption. Used as an analytical reagent, widely used as a solvent, liquid chromatographic eluent. Also used in organic synthesis.
